Reconstruction Process.

It’s our team’s goal to simplify the reconstruction process for you, helping you through what can seem like a stressful process.

First Stage

Claim Filed

You have contacted your insurance company and reported damage to your home. Your insurance company contacts Elite Construction as a preferred vendor to inspect the damages and prepare the estimate.

Site Inspection

Shortly after filing your claim, Elite Construction, as a preferred vendor, will set up a time to meet with you and inspect the claim related damages. The estimate will be written to repair the home back to pre-loss condition. The estimator will take detailed photos, notes and complete a sketch of the areas that have sustained claim-related damage.

The estimate is prepared using a program called Xactimate, which is the standard estimating platform for the insurance industry with pricing supported by contractors.

In some cases, the insurance company will require us to take a small sample of your flooring, and have it analyzed for value, this evaluation can take up to 72 hours.

Second Stage

Estimate Submitted for Approval

The repair estimate completed by your Elite Construction Estimator will be submitted to the insurance company for review/approval.

The insurance company review process can vary depending on the amount of damage the home has sustained.  Once the estimate is approved, we can schedule the repairs.

After the insurance company has completed their review, they will typically contact you and/or us of the approval. At this point, Elite Construction will reach out to you directly to review the estimate and discuss the scheduling of the repairs.

Estimate Approved

A Project Manager from Elite Construction will be assigned to your repair project and will help guide you through the repair process.

The Project Manager will typically schedule a start date. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, a site meeting may take place prior to starting to assess the repairs and to ensure the proper tradesmen are assigned to complete the work at your home. The Project Manager will coordinate with you and our tradesmen to take your project through to completion.

Initial Walkthrough/Job Start

Third Stage

Job Completion

The Project Manager will guide you through the Certificate of Satisfaction (COS) form. The COS form is an important tool to assess the performance of Elite Construction; it’s also required by your insurance company to consider the job complete.

With the completion of the COS form, your project is finished! You can rest assured knowing all work completed by Elite Construction is covered under our construction warranty.
